PC_q2_Anv04_Journal - Denymil's Dilemma

Denymil, a tribeless Bosmer in the poor district of Anvil, wishes to join the local Srethuun tribe here in the city, as he was excommunicated from his tribe back in Valenwood when he decided to leave for Cyrodiil. The treethane of Srethuun - Fimmion Srethuun - will accept Denymil, under the condition he finds a missing tribe member. Denymil asks you to join him, of course, as he's as weak as he is poor, this will lead you to a nearby bandit camp in which you'll discover the body of the missing tribe member. If Denymil survives the encounter and you return to Fimmion with Denymil in tact, Fimmion will accept Denymil into the tribe. Once you leave and re-enter, the Denymil you find out in the exterior will be gone and be replaced with a version in Canal West Tenets with the name "Denymil Srethuun" to denote his newfound tribehood. Alternatively, instead of finding the dead member's corpse, you could convince one Dairihill Thorimil that's very, very happy with you to help the Srethuun Tribe out in some way and use that as a bargaining chip if you don't think you'll be able to keep Denymil alive (or just don't wanna deal with the escort mission). What would be in it for Fimmion Srethuun would be... Idk. A minor advisory role to the Countess/Dairihill. Honestly it'd be more of a title that he could waive around than anything substantial, something Dairihill should make note of. This would be a path that'd be particularly easy to do if you've completed the Shore King questline first, but would still be possible if you boosted her disposition up to ridiculous levels.

Some notes: This quest is meant to showcase the nature of tribes in a way that doesn't require players to speak to specific npcs about specific topics. It's effectively a little slice of Valenwood this close to the border. Rithgoth, Fimmion, Disa, and Nirval are all recent immigrants, and make up the bulk of the Srethuun Tribe. Though only Rithgoth and the missing member are actually related (Fimmion and Nirval are mates). While most tribe Bosmer in Anvil are part of tribes elsewhere - such as Dairihill Thorimil being a member of the Thorimil tribe (royal tribe of Arenthia Kingdom), the Srethuun is entirely Anvil based after their move from Valenwood. To be tribeless in Bosmeri culture is akin to being homeless, someone with no family (literal or figurative) or say in Bosmeri matters. So naturally those not part of a tribe - either exiled or born of tribeless parents - are outcasts. Which is Denymil's main motivations. As far as Treethanes are concerned, Treethanes are the elected rulers of a given tribe. Though in this case Fimmion Srethuun's rule doesn't reach any further than his tribe members' apartments. Still though, being a treethane - albeit a very, very, minor and poor one as he is - does offer some respect from the local bosmer communities.

Ready For Review

So I restructured the quest a bit to make it more manageable for me. The quest now goes as followed (SPOILERS):
Spoiler
-Speak with Denymil in the Anvil alleyways, accept his quest.
-Speak with Treethane Fimmion Srethuun on the second floor of the Canal West Tenaments (not too far from Denymil). He'll tell you to ask around town, specifically the hunters and scouts, about where Huurvan Srethuun is. Find Huurvan Srethuun and find out what happened to him and report back to Fimmion. NOTE: Once you speak to Fimmion, Huurvan should be enabled.

NOTE: These next ones should be entirely skippable by finding Huurvan first. So I will put them here as being first.

-(Optional) asking hunters and scouts will send you to Usia Valeglenh, who will point you in the direction of Moredinir, a hunter and friend of Huurvan who hangs out in the wilderness near Anvil, north of the Petty Strid but south of the road to Fort Strand.
-(Optional) Speak with Moredinir, she'll deny ever seeing him.
-(Optional) Either raise Moredinir's disposition to 70 OR find Huurvan's body and she'll confess to accidentally killing him, and ask you to not tell anyone about her involvement in Huurvan's death.

-Find Huurvan's corpse in some bushes out in Aurum Grove (name can be changed if Infra doesn't like it).
-Speak with Treethane Fimmion about "Huurvan Srethuun" and tell him Huurvan is dead. He'll ask how it happened, you can either tell him Moredinir killed him (if she confessed), tell him a bandit probably killed him, or lie altogether about it being an animal attack. Either way, Fimmion will ask you to tell Denymil that he will accept him into the tribe.
-Speak with Denymil, he'll give you 50 gold, and will disable after cell change, you can find the newly christened "Denymil Srethuun" in the Canal West Tenaments.

There are two more optional side rewards to be had for this quest, they are:

-Side reward 1: Nirval, Fimmion's wife and a witch in the tribe, will offer to sell you some spells, these include the extremely handy Mark and Recall spells if you don't already have those.

-Side reward 2: Huurvan had a necklace, "Usia's Amulet" to be specific, if you take this unique amulet to Usia and talk to her about Huurvan, she will exchange it for a Wenbone Bow, something that will be extremely useful to archers - or anyone looking to make a quick buck off of selling it back to her.

NOTE: Usia's Amulet is currently using the Ayleid Amulet as a base. When some of the finger bone necklaces are made and added into the Addon, this necklace will be changed to be one of those.

The quest was really good! Lot's of interesting characters and cool historical references, which I enjoyed indulging in. A wonderful bucket of lore everyone would enjoy. And a great improvement from TES4 that had little to no ethnic traces of neighbouring nations.

Played on OpenMW, mid-playthrough. I followed only one way to finish the quest. Here are some findings. I hope the screenshot format is not too annoying:

Update

CHANGELOG:

-Moved Fimmion back a bit so his feet don't bleed into the rug.
-Fixed all of the typos you pointed out, except for one which I'll get into below
-Changed the Usia stuff a bit. You now have a choice whether or not to give the amulet to her.

The "allowing her her pick of tribes" thing isn't a typo, it's proper english - albeit it looks awkward as hell. Trips me up too a lot. Just imagine it said as "allowing her, HER pick of tribes", though it being written that way itself would be a typo.

Very belated update

-Fixed a minor bug and a typo I found on replays.
-Changed classes to the new class set up.
-Fixed a typo on the quest ID itself ("PC_q2-Anv04_Journal" -> "PC_q2_Anv04_Journal") and updated those scripts & Resultboxes that reference it.
-Cleaned & re-added the Background, G7, and My Trade dialogue so that they don't cause any accidental dirtying on merge.
-File is actually clean this time.
