The Reach: House (Sky_iRe_DH21)[Reviewed]

Post by Scamp » Wed Sep 07, 2016 10:14 am

Some sort of tinker; makes household items and other goodies and might offer services/training.

This could be a Redguard, Breton or Khajiit living together with the Reachmen. Alternatively, the tinker could have a Breton wife living here. Or something altogether different.

This was supposed to be Finished. But the CS fucked me. I have a very weird error. First I saved my work a number of times. Then I loaded another file, and the CS asked if I wanted to save the plugin-file, but I said no as I had saved moments before. Then my file was just missing. I checked the virtual folder, and there I found Sky_iRe_DH21.tes?? I changed the filename to .esp, and opened it. There I found the file in the condition it had before I started the final work on it. Only an hour of work lost, but a really productive one.

I have a simple idea for a fetch quest related to this interior; if the player talks to the tinkerer and the disposition is good, he will tell you that there's a grey cloud above their home. His wife is feeling down, and he'll ask you to help him cheer her up. You talk to the wife, and it turns out she is terribly homesick. So she will ask the player for some specific item from her province (i.e. Redguard Sutch Wine, a Colovian book etc.) If the player returns with the item, he/she will get a minor reward, like a few pieces of amber or something like that.

Can you not check the auto backup file? It should be a copy of your last saved esp.
<roerich> woah it's hot in here
<Lord Berandas> it must be Summer.
<Infragris> #hell is meant as a spam and off topic channel. Doing a great job already

I did and not even pukbak could save me. Perhaps I never saved at all? I distinctly remember saving though.

Sets of construction are prone to obstruction
Devourers of work, devourers of time
Young roerich was so close to combustion
when his file was nowhere to find

Now, what to do for a helpless modder
in a world where .tes is a file?
Young roerich worked hard like no other
And redid the work with a smile

Well that's great, roerich. And the file is not bad too. :P

Seriously though, it turned out fantastic. I love the beams especially. Also, wow: PC's galleon hatch fits in so well it looks like it belongs to the Reachman set actually. Nice find, I'll use it for my -109, 6 house too.

Thanks, master berry. Do steal away! Yes, that hatch fits perfectly. If only the hatch itself wasn't slanted.
