Stirk Character Development

Character profiles for Stirk, gathered from the old forums. Note that these are very summarized, and some characters have already been edited in various ways (those interested in the unabridged profiles can look them up here). In most cases, further edits will discard details and lengthy stories, especially where it involves minor NPC's. Policy as per this thread is to keep dialog and character development broad and focused on fleshing out culture above individuals.

Associated with Victus Pilious
  • Victus Pilious – merchant entrepreneur, Imperial. Victus is the owner of most land, buildings and business in Stirk. A driving force in the local economy. Started out buying up the Abecean Longfin market with money he loaned from his family (Heartland merchant-princes). He promoted the fish as an upper-class delicacy across Western Tamriel, multiplying demand and re-investing into the island until he owned almost every shop, house and boat within Stirk's city limits.
    Victus considers himself a provider, securing food, shelter, and a means of work for everyone in return for loyalty and subservience. Many disagree, but there is little they can do to change this. The Empire is content with the situation, as his methods are not dissimilar to the way their own agents handle in the provinces, and Victus' business is considered a boon to commerce in the sector – as well as a ripe source of taxation. Victus often clashes with Cocious Hassell, the official Prefect, and Gracchus Helvor, the Baron of Stirk.
  • Estarria – clerck, Altmer. Advisor and personal assistant of Victus Pilious. Lives and works in Pilious Manor. An Imperialized Altmer, member of the Altmeri Heartlands enclave: these families have lived and worked in the Heartlands for generations as tutors, assistants and scribes for the Imperial ruling class. Like most of these, Estarria has never seen the Summerset Isles, and has little knowledge of "true" Altmer culture.
  • Mercenary Guard - five or six guards, mostly Imperials. These mercenaries work for Victus personally. They protect Pilious Manor, as well as various other properties (warehouses etc.)
  • Llaldir & Volrine Wael - a Bosmer and Breton servant in Pilious Manor. On high disposition they may gossip about Estarria and their boss.
  • Martina Flonius - servant, Imperial (Col). Works in the kitchen at Pilious Manor. Daughter of Gaius Tragia, a community leader among the dockworkers and harbor people. Married to Vantus Flonius.
Associated with the Imperial Administration
  • Cocious Hassell – Prefect, Redguard, member of the Imperial Administration faction. Though his family hails from Hammerfell, Cocious' father moved them to the Imperial City when he was very young, hoping to ensure an Imperial education and a political post for his son. Cocious excelled in his training and soon became part of the Imperial administration. His father, though, did not fare so well, and committed suicide shortly after Cocious' graduation. It was then he turned his name from Camas to the Imperial inspired Cocious. Cocious was bold, outspoken, and prideful, confident in both his Redguard blood and his understanding of Imperial politics. This confidence was his downfall: he was "promoted" to Prefect of Stirk in a plot of his enemies to banish him from court.
    Currently, Cocious is frustrated by his inability to act. His contacts and superiors on the mainland ignore him, and he is left with limited resources and the enmity of both the people and his rivals, Victus Pilious and Baron Helvor. Cocious sincerely wants to improve the condition on the island - or take credit when they do - in the hopes of being reinstated in the Heartlands.
  • Geval Ugenring – Bosmer. The former Prefect, Geval was originally given this position as a form of retirement. Never the most mentally stable person, his frustrations in dealing with Victus Pilious have led his mind to wander. Today he is convinced that he is still the Prefect, and imagines that he is surrounded by secrets plots and agents of Victus.
  • Tullius, Laurentia & Seneca Juro – Tullius is Guard captain, Imperial (Col). Originally from Kvatch, where he was a member of the local guard detail. An act of bravery during a bandit raid landed him a job as captain's adjudant, where he discovered a talent for numbers and logistics. He later did a short stint as lieutenant outside of Cyrodiil, before taking the position of Guard Captain of Stirk – as an early retirement. Resurgence of piracy surprised him, and he lacks the experience and tactical acumen to face them effectively. Very short-tempered. His wife, Laurentina, has a very high opinion of herself and her family due to her husband's position. Their son, Seneca, is secretary at the prison, a job he got due to his father.
  • Guards – multiple guards in Stirk livery, Imperial (Col). Stand guard in shops and other locations, three or four patrol the streets. Several present in the Town Hall, maybe standing guard in front of the door. Guards act like guards. They answer to the Guard Captain, Tullius Juro, and are nominally under the authority of the major. The Helvor family, being the Barons of Stirk, have some influence with them, though they sold the Privilege of the Watch to the Administration some time ago.
  • Lysandra Draco – agent, Imperial (Col), member of the Census & Excise Faction? Office manager on Stirk. Only child of a local fishing-boat captain and his wife, who scrimped and saved to send her to Anvil for an education. As a result she's landed herself a relatively cushy job with the C&E, and she tends to look down on her ex-neighbours in the poor district, whom she sees as lacking drive and ambition. She lives in a house in the middle-class district.
  • Octavio Capillius - agent, Imperial (Col), member of the Census & Excise Faction? New recruit, originally from a small village on the Gold Coast, and a Clerk in the faction. He's very enthusiastic about his new job, and will offer to help the player fill in their tax forms (you can't actually do this).
Associated with the Helvor Family
  • Astoria Helvor - impoverished nobility, Imperial (Colo-Nord), member of the Imperial nobility faction. Widow of Decius Helvor, the former Baron of Stirk. Preoccupied with managing the manor and finding ways to make ends meet.
  • Gracchus Helvor - impoverished nobility, Imperial (Colo-Nord), member of the Imperial nobility faction (Baron). Descendants of the city's founders, the Helvors can trace their lineage back to the Nordic mercenaries who conquered Colovia. By the time Decius Helvor came into his inheritance, most of the family fortune had been frittered away on gambling and other pursuits. They were forced to sell off most of their land and property to up-and-comers like Victus Pilious - but this gave only short-term relief, as they could no longer rely on income from rents and leases. Gracchus is a strong and hearty but rather dim young man, who dreams of being a warrior like his father.
  • Vilina Helvor - impoverished nobility, Imperial (Colo-Nord), member of the Imperial nobility faction. Vilina is the youngest, but most practical of the Helvor family, and is determined to restore the family's former glory. The central NPC for quests relating to the Helvors.
  • Caspus & Mara Quillan – servants, Imperial (Col), in service to the Helvor family. The last remaining servants of the Helvors. Both are quite old, but the Helvors keep them out of a sense of honor and obligation. Fiercely loyal to the Helvors.
Services
  • Ereldor, Aistillin & Moreil – innkeepers of the Safe Harbor, Altmer (Imperialized). The Safe Harbor is Stirk's most exclusive hotel (expect to be turned away if your outfit isn't smart enough). Ereldor and Aistillin have been in Stirk for a long time, part of the island's upper crust, but only recently opened their house as hotel after Victus' reforms. Their son, Moreil, is a bored wastrel with no plans to take over or help out in the family business. He rebels against his Imperial-minded parents by affecting various Altmeri manners and ideas (though he has never visited Summerset).
  • Gam-Dar & Gree-Dar - innkeepers of the Sloads Tale Inn, Argonian, brothers. Born near Lilmoth, Argonia. Involved in various semi-legal ventures from a young age, especially in fleecing Imperial settlers. The Dar brothers used to run "expeditions" into the Black Marsh interior for curious Imperials, which often ended in some highwayman's trap. After a Legion captain recognized his friend's possessions among their latest profits, both were arrested and imprisoned in Cyrodiil. The Imperial prison system relocated them to the west, where they were released. Both enjoyed the Gold Coast climate, and decided to try and build up an honest life out there. After several failed ventures around Anvil, they took a transport to Stirk. Started out as fishermen, using their natural abilities as Argonians to amass enough money to start an inn, which they called the Sload's Tale.
    Player should be able to find useful hints and tips for dealing with the residents of Stirk from the Dar brothers at The Sload's Tale. Both are attentive, intelligent, and knowledgeable of legal and illegal matters.
  • Malik & Mira – proprietors of Mira's Trade Goods, Redguard, married. Mira is a shopkeeper, Malik is a Weapon Trainer who can teach Spears, Axes, and Long Swords.
    Malik grew up in Rihad with his father and younger brother. His mother died when he was very young of a desert illness contracted while the family was making the trek across the Alik'r Desert to Rihad. Devastated by the loss, his father fell into poverty and alcohol abuse. He killed Malik's brother in a drunken accident, whereafter Malik turned him in to the Imperial Legion. Malik was adopted and raised by the processing officer, Meram Trebonius.
    Mira was once the daughter of a wealthy Rihad merchant. Met Malik in the city, but her father did not approve of the marriage. After amassing some money, they decided to flee together to Stirk. Thanks to a letter of introduction from Malik's foster father, they were able to open a shop here with Victus Pilious' blessing.
    Mira sells general goods, a couple of Hammerfell specialties and an array of spears. Malik offers weapons training, specialized in the spear.
  • Josette Leclerc – clothier, Breton. Wife of Fulvius Leclerc, the dockmaster. Owns the clothier in town. As wife of the dockmaster, she gets first pick of all clothes and materials arriving. Some people speak ill of this, but there is nothing illegal going on.
  • Fennias & Josantha Maxim – smith and shopkeeper, Imperial (Colo-Redguard). Fennias came to Stirk 40 years ago to apprentice with the old smith, who has since died. They have a daughter, Ashanti, who is married to a fisherman named Kayd.
  • Jocilyn & Ola Clodius – Pawnbrokers, Redguard, mother and daughter. Run the pawn shop together. Jocilyn's husband Apellis is an Imperial, hence the surname. He works as a builder in Anvil and spends most of his time there, coming back to see his wife and daughter on his days off. Jocilyn has begun an affair with one of Stirk's pirates, passing him tips, messages and information in exchange for 'cut-price' goods to sell in her store. She's discreet enough that not many people are aware of this, though there are rumours. Ola strongly disapproves of her mother's behaviour. She and Jocilyn often argue, and Ola is thinking of moving to Anvil so that she can be closer to her father.
  • Sylori, Tappin & Resaia Menaneus – first two are barman and barmaid, Imperial (Col). Work at a Old Seawater Tavern, support their mother, Resaia.
  • Dandre Aurilie – alchemist, Breton, member of the Mages Guild. Somewhat eccentric, has moved to Stirk so that he can perform his experiments without interruption. He has set up a number of alchemical gardens in his basement, though the atmospheric machine maintaining them has recently broke.
Associated with the Temple of Kynareth
  • Tynellion – priest of Kynareth, Altmer (Bosmer heritage), member of the Imperial Cult faction (Invoker). Originally from a village in Valenwood, close connection to nature. Religious inclination led him to travel to Cyrodiil, received initiation in the monastery at Sutch. When he got control over the chapel, he rededicated it to Kynareth instead of all the Divines. Mild-mannered and kind, but a bit of a loner. In his spare time he prefers to take long walks around the island and admire its natural beauty. Disappointed in the lack of spiritual interest in the populations, is considering returning to Valenwood to spread the Imperial faith among the Bosmer. A note on the Imperial Cult members on the island: the Order of Kynareth specializes in healing common diseases, meaning that at least one of them should be a healer. This messes somewhat with their involvement with Irbrand and Sharli, the Mages Guild healer who was sent to the island supposedly because there are no healers. I'm also not very fond of Hakin and Salvan Llethi, mostly because both are unfriendly problem cases, which gives the IC as a whole a rather unpleasant image. One of them should also be a woman, to reflect the rather feminine nature of the Kynareth order.
  • Hakin – priest of Kynareth, Redguard, member of the Imperial Cult faction (Novice). A spoiled, rebellious son of an affluent Redguard family – his family sent him to the temple in Stirk as penitence. A friend of Moreil, son of the proprietors of the Safe Harbor.
  • Salvan Llethi - priest of Kynareth, Dunmer, member of the Imperial Cult faction (Novice). Originally from a small village in the north of Morrowind, lost everything in a Nord raid. Imprisoned in Skyrim for a while, whereafter he walked across Cyrodiil as a pauper. Taken in by Tynellion, who found him begging in the streets. Still depressed and alcoholic, an unfriendly character.
  • Irbrand – priest of Stendarr, Breton, member of the Imperial Cult faction. Born in Northpoint, High Rock. Used to be a priest in the chapel, but left after Tynellion rededicated it to Kynareth. Offers spiritual comfort to the people. Knows the head of the Mages Guild in Anvil very well. His complaints about the difficulty of his work may have led to Sharla being sent there. Irbrand feels somewhat responsible for this.
Misc. Upper Class
  • Valanyra – Altmer (Imperialized). Raised by a family of affluent Imperialized Altmer in the Heartland. Valanyra is a traveler, came to Strik with the intention of meeting – or becoming – a pirate. Naive, raised in a sheltered environment. Very wealthy. Hangs around in the Safe Harbor.
  • Ledaia Pelladia – Imperial. Former mistress of the Emperor. Sent to the IC for education, met the Emperor at court, fell in love. After their relationship took its course, she left for Stirk, preferring obscurity. The Emperor set her up well, and nobody bothers her. Note that I am actually somewhat opposed to this character: a former mistress of the Emperor is a bit too good material to waste on a fishing village in the middle of nowhere. I suggest making her a generic noblewoman.
  • Theseus & Henrietta Caperno – retired merchant and his wife, Imperial (Colo-Redguard) and Breton. Used to own over a dozen merchant ships sailing all over western Tamriel. Now he's happily retired on Stirk with his wife Henrietta (a Breton) and the business is now run by his son Victor (also a Breton) who lives in Anvil.
  • Silvia Geraneus - servant, Imperial (Col), live-in maid at the Caperno household. Her brother is a musician in the Sload's Tale Inn.
  • Calmanwe of Sunhold – noble, Altmer. After the death of her husband, she grew weary of politics and departed Summerset (a rather unusual thing to do for an upper-class Altmer). She has retired to Stirk, where she keeps to the company of her fellow Altmer. Somewhat disdainful of Imperial culture.
  • Seguri Sosia – battlemage, Imperial (Nib), member of the Imperial Legion faction. Born in Bruma. Was in service to the Fourth Legion. Retired to Stirk because for the climate. Spell Merchant.
  • Sharli – healer, Redguard, member of the Mages Guild (Evoker). Originally born in Sutch as child of an affluent Redguard family (politician). Very intelligent from a young age. Received a good, but strict education due to her family's position. Set off for Anvil after coming of age, where she worked in an apothecary for a while, before joining the Mages Guild. Particular skill in Restoration and Illusion. Became a well-respected member, protégée of Carahil. Lives in the Sload's Tale Inn where she acts as local healer and continues her studies. Despite her importance to the community, she dislikes the place, anxious to return to Anvil. She has no plans to go to Sutch, knowing that her family will disapprove of her becoming a mage.
  • Earmionre – Altmer (Imperialized). Member of the Nightingale Cult, quest-relevant.
  • Bernado – Stockbroker, Redguard (Imperialized). Originally from Skingrad, here in Stirk on retreat. His wife left him due to obsession with his work. Stays at the Safe Harbor Inn.
  • Frolix & Pella Verus – archaeologists, Imperial (Nib), members of the Imperial Geographical Society. Married couple from the Heartland, here to study the culture of the Ayleid sea-fortresses. In their spare time, they provide lessons in reading, arithmetic, geography and history to the local populace (there being no Mages Guild or other educational facilities in Stirk). For this they receive a modest payout from the mayor.
Misc. Middle & Lower Class
  • Edwyn Niniel – Breton, elderly housekeeper of one of the upper class homes. Always been a faithful servant, so his masters sent him to maintain their holiday home on Stirk as a retirement. Keeps to himself.
  • Severin Albuttian – Imperial (Col), manager at the grain storage. Spends most of his time over there, away from his wife, Eponis Albuttian.
  • Eponis Albuttian – Imperial (Col). Wife of Severin Albuttian. A nasty gossip, known to spread rumors, look down on people, etc. Horrible personality.
  • Jonuni Pelelius – retired agent, Imperial (Col), member of the Blades faction. He lives in a fairly nice house in Stirk, as Blade members who manage to actually live to the age of retirement are treated quite well. Despite being "officially" retired, he is still on the lookout for suspicious activity on the island. He's recently noticed an increase in pirate activity. Related to main quest.
  • Corella Jacta – widow, Imperial (Nib). Her husband, Inus, was a guardsman, killed while investigating the pirates. She lives on a pension granted to her by Victus.
  • Aenaias Geraneus – musician, Imperial (Col). Plays the lute in the Sload's Tale Inn. If the player wears fancy clothing, he will offer to tell secrets and gossip in return for gold. Brother of Silvia Geraneus, maid at the Caperno's.
  • Charles Agerne – thief, Breton, member of Thieves Guild. A consummate thief with a soft spot for the poor, often steals to redistribute. Recently caught in Victus' manor, now resides in the Stirk prison.
  • Ticerdo Abitus – beggar, Imperial (Col). Scavenger and beachcomber. Sells shells and junk to the pawn shop, ingredients to Sharli and the alchemist. Might know something about local plants and their properties.
  • Lucilla Conina – commoner, Imperial (Col). Housekeeper of several lower-class apartments. Rather chattym knows lots of gossip. Mother of Nessa Conina, a fisherwoman.
  • Muribus & Valdra Curgusis – commoners, Imperial (Col). Muribus is a rag-and-bones man, makes a living collecting garbage from the upper-class houses and selling it on. They have a son named Sergio Curgusis, a dockworker.
  • Adraria Dolcino – thief and prostitute, Imperial (Col). Orphaned at a young age, hangs around at the docks and bars. Also an occasional pickpocket, but not a member of the Thieves Guild.
  • Undertaker - caretaker of the island's graveyard. Undetailed
Sailors
  • Jafan – Redguard, captain of the Magnificent. Has traveled all around the Abecean. Loves to tell blatantly untrue stories of heroism and glory, mostly involving himself. Has a great deal to say, if you have the patience to listen.
  • Aria – Redguard. Wife of Jafan, lives aboard the Magnificent. Deeply in love with her husband, though disappointed in his habitual lies and tall tales.
  • Sailor Magnificent - two sailors associated with the Magnificent. Since we will not be adding ship interiors, there is no need for more then two or three sailors to be present per ship.
  • Restia Nigilius – Imperial, captain of the Blessed of Stendarr. Merchant ship, involved in the Abecean Longfin trade. Also does some smuggling.
  • Sailor Blessed of Stendarr - three sailors associated with the Blessed of Stendarr.
  • S'Dato – Khajiit, captain of the Snarleyohwl. Usually sails around the Topal Bay, but came out here on a big commission. Smuggles moon sugar.
  • Sailor Snarleyohwl - two sailors associated with the Snarleyohwl. Likely Khajiiti.
  • Skjold the Seafarer – Nord, captain of the Seawyrm. Carrying a supply of timber from Skyrim to Valenwood, but was surprised by a storm. In the harbor for repairs. He has booked a double room in the Sload's Tale, but his sailors sleep on board the ship. Something of a headache for the dockmaster, as the Nordic sailors are rather rowdy.
  • Bjoern – sailor, Nord. Works and lives on the Seawyrm. Reputation as a womanizer.
  • Kjoric the Younger – sailor, Nord. Work and lives on the Seawyrm. Rather bored with the island, and with the sailor's life in general.
Harbor People, Fishermen and Dockworkers
  • Procis Popillious – keeper of the flame, Imperial (Col). Keeps the lighthouse running. Can tell some things about famous lighthouses around the world. His passion is ships, and he keeps a log of every ship and its captain that has passed through the harbor. Can also tell the player about shipwrecks and underwater locations to visit.
  • Fulvius Leclerc – dockmaster, Imperial (Col). Has been dockmaster for nearly a decade. Efficient, strict, quick to anger when things go wrong. Considered a slavedriver by the dockworkers, though he holds everyone to the same standards he set himself. Married to Josette Leclerc, the clothier.
  • Anik – poor fisherman, Redguard, 30. Sailor from Hegathe, Hammerfell. Shipwrecked by pirates near Stirk, transporting fine clothes aboard the trade vessel Ansei Spirit. Leg was crushed by a falling mast, barely made it out alive. Three years later, Anik works as fisherman on Stirk. His leg has never fully healed, and he may walk with a limp for the rest of his life. He holds a strong hatred of pirates, would stop at nothing to see them destroyed. Speaking with Anik may reveal information on the pirates. Possible quest starter or or otherwise related to the pirate killing quest. He may reward the player with a Redguard weapon upon completion of that quest.
  • Leonde Esdrec – poor fisherman, Imperial (Col), 52. Born and raised in Stirk, as were his father, mother and brother. Started fishing at age 14, following his father. Parents died when he was in his twenties. When the price of the Abecean Longfin went up, Leonde started contracting work for a local Stirk merchant, eventually becoming head fisherman - easily his proudest accomplishment. After Victus took over, Leonde was reemployed as normal fisherman. Leonde's brother left Stirk when Victus first started buying up everything, but Leonde refused to follow him. They have not spoken since. A dull and colorless person: the only thing he can talk about at length is the recent history of Stirk, namely the changes under Victus' new management.
  • Negdal Dimrin – fisherman, Bosmer, 38. Family came over from Valenwood when he was very young, setting up a shop of Bosmeri novelties in Anvil. As a child, Negdal was ostracized due to his unusual family relations. He developed various eccentricities, among them an aptitude for Illusion magic and a habit of enhancing the truth with wild tales and lies. Never qualified for Mages guild membership due to his families' reputation. After coming of age he set out for adventure, but only made it as far as Strik before falling in love with an Imperial woman named Pallia. He remained on the island for three years in order to court her, subsiding on the hunting of mudcrabs. Pallia eventually married a Redguard man and left Stirk. Negdal is one of Victus' greatest haters, possibly the only fisherman who is not employed by him (mudcrab meat isn't profitable). Note: changed the name.
  • Vestus Aeolos – fisherman, Imperial (Col), middle-aged. Orphaned at a young age when his father was killed aboard an Imperial Navy ship, followed by the suicide of his mother. As a youth, Vestus either worked as a fisherman, or fell in with pirates. It is known that he had contacts with some unsavory characters in his time, and that he has no love for the Navy (seeing it as the source of his life's hardships). Can usually be found in a tavern, telling old tales of the sea. Vestus is not in league with the pirates, but may have ties to them. Can give player information.
  • Bernd – fisherman, Nord. Due to his gruff and scarred looks, many would mistake Bernd for a pirate. In truth, he is and always has been a simple fisherman. Quiet, gruff, and rather shy.
  • Marina, Hesta & Alva – fisherwomen, Imperial (Colo-Redguard). Two sisters, live in Anvil's poor quarter. Work as fisherwomen in Victus' firm. Somewhat mischievous, involved ina quest revolving around fake mermaids. Marina, the eldest sister, got her name because she was born at sea. The sisters now live with their mother, Alva, who is too old to go to sea any longer, and makes her living by cleaning, gutting and skinning fish to prepare them for sale at the market.
  • Kayd & Ashamti– fisherman and -woman, Redguard and Imp (Colo-Redguard). Kayd was a cabin boy on the Ansei Spirit together with Anik, but came through unharmed. Rebuilt his life on Stirk as a succesful fisherman. He longs to return to Rihad, but does not have the funds. Ashamti is the daughter of Fennias & Josantha Maxim, the smithy couple. Works on the same fishing boat as her husband. Like him, she wishes to leave Stirk.
  • Nessa Conina – fisherwoman, Imperial (Col). Secretly the girlfriend of Jarol, the pirate captain. Very loyal to him, acts as his eyes and ears in the village.
  • Gaius & Adessa Tragia – dockworkers, Imperial (Col). Gaius is a well respected man in Stirk, the unofficial leader of the dockworkers. Hard working and intelligent, but never climbed up the ranks because of his frequent clashes with authorities. Despite this, he is a perceptive man, and appreciates what good Victus has done for the people of Stirk (as opposed to the old management of the mayor and the Helvor family, who were content to let the city rot). Lives with his numerous relatives in a large apartment. Adessa is his wife, used to be a fisherwoman until she had an accident. She lives in the house, does odd jobs for her neighbors.
  • Quintus & Sophia Tragia – fishermen and -woman, Imperial (Col). Work on the same boat. They make a weekly trip to Anvil to cut out the middleman. Neither is very smitten with Anvil's poverty, and they much prefer Stirk – with or without Victus.
  • Vantus Flonius – dockworker, Imperial (Col). Gaius' son-in-law, married to Martina, who works as kitchen staff for Victus.
  • Varian Tragia – dockworker, Imperial (Col). The youngest Tragia, unmarried.
  • Sergio Curgusis - dockworker, Imperial (Col). Son of Muribus & Valdra Curgusis.

Could someone do me a favor and retrieve the Stirk Interiors claimmap that is linked in the OPs of this kind of topics? I'm pretty sure Imageshack is trying to murder me.

Thank you. I remember reading somewhere that those ship interiors were not included on account of them being boring. Is that correct?

Iirc it was because the interior models didn't exist.

Yeah, it was pretty much because we didn't have models or bad/inappropriate models that we ditched. Afterwards, we decided it wasn't really worth the effort to create specific meshes just for the inside of a ship that very few people are likely to be interested in anyway.

Yes, initially not there due to no model. Now not there because there isn't much point in creating those models. Something could always be rigged up for certain parts if need be. IE, a Captain's cabin or whatever.

It has been suggested to replace the "Orangeback Slaughterfish" from the original Stirk plans with the "Abecean Longfin", which appears in Skyrim. I quite like this idea, mostly because nothing in the games suggest that Slaughterfish are at all nice to eat. No relevant models or dialogue have been made, so no work is wasted. Opinions?

Wow. I have only managed to read 20% of this, but the few characters I have read about already offer countless possibilities for minor quests and dialogue. The old forum really seemed to be a treasure chest of detailled character development.
