Project Tamriel Status

Postby Admin » Sun Jan 04, 2015 10:55 am

So, the new site is up and starting to take shape. It's far from finished but its going pretty well so far. Most of the permissions are set up already but there are definitely areas which aren't completely sorted out yet. It's taken too long really, mainly due to only having to use a mouse pad on a laptop and a poor internet connection.

I just want to make it clear that no information is being copied over from the old forums. At least not by me.
The easiest, cleanest and best way to get setup with the combined forums was to start from scratch. Therefore, all posts and information from the old forums cannot be copied over automatically. The old forums will be kept open in the form of archives and wont be taken down. New topics and registrations will be disabled. This ensures that no information is lost and that we are able to continue to use information from the old forums whilst continuing on the more refined forums.

So please feel free to get posting. Flood the forums with information! Get copying over important and relevant information from the old forums.

Look out for more updates and improvements to the forums. There is much more to come. There will be teething issues. But the more you use the forums the better they will get.

Cheers all!

First!

Hah, this is looking great though. We should probably transfer the most important information and posts into some sort of master plans and the like. Gather links to important discussions in threads etc.

Glad you like it so far Roerich. Much more to come.

Copying stuff over from the old forums is a job for you guys though! haha Something to keep you all occupied for a bit. Hopefully when people get using the forums more you will start to feel a bit more at home.

Permissions will be ironed out the more people use it.

Glad to see the site taking shape! Maybe when I get my new laptop and can start modding again I'll get into the mood of sharing the progress and info through Project Tamriel again. I haven't been able to mod for months and it sucks! But I'm really enjoying seeing the updates from the other projects here.

News about the site? Or news about the project?

Either way. You should expect news when there is news!

Yes, things slow down in the summer. First a lot of us have exams that take most of our time, and then it's time to spend all your free time outside getting hammered.

Just got the impression that the projects near death. If this is the norm, then I am calm. :D

It's the nature of these projects. Most people here have normal jobs or are studying: we can't always put our obligations to the side for some quick modding. These things can happen fast or good, but not both, I'm afraid.

It is sad. For your projects you need more people, even like TR or more.

More time, more people. More patience.

It would be nice if people stopped saying the projects are all near death. People have been saying that about all these projects. But I'm pretty sure they are all still growing.

If you don't like PE, you're free not to play it. Wishing it won't be finished is petty and rude.
