Dragonstar: Castle Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds1a) [Tristior]

The uppermost part of the Dragonstar Castle, home to the courtroom of Jarla Jona, her private quarters, council room, servant quarters, guard quarters, huscarl quarters etc.

Whoever claims this should coordinate with those building Sky_iRe_Ds1b and Sky_iRe_Ds2

Use T_Nor_FurnR and T_Nor_FurnM where appropriate.

Claim claim claim? I'm thinking of having a court/dining room at ground level, a basement (using the Rga fort walls) with servant quarters and so on, and other rooms in the upstairs area. The ground level floorplan is about 3x4 tiles, at this point.

Grant! Don't be afraid to make this elaborate and bigger than the exterior shell. The most important rooms should be the throne and council rooms. I think you could make court and dining room in one, but I wouldn't mind if there was a seperate banquet hall and a more spartan council/court room.

Remember to reflect Jarla Jona's personality in the decoration. She's far from a lavish despot, and more of a temporarily halted warlord, bitter and resentful for not conquering the entire city.

Have a sticky at this so far. It'll probably be multiple cells, but I want to get the throne room and basement (kitchen/quarters) in here. I'd especially like to know if you think the transition to the basement is too jarring.

And do you think Jarla Jona would favour Nordic candles or Redguard lanterns? On the one hand, she hates Redguards, but on the other she might not care to have changed the decor in the last 30 years. Please advise.

Looks great!

I'd prefer it if you didn't use the darkened wood meshes (planks, beams, railings) in here - they should ideally only be used in poorer/more worn interiors. They aren't used anywhere inside in Karthwasten, but I like how you've introduced them in some Dragonstar ints. But, even with Jona as the owner, this interior should be more magnificent in origin. See if you can make something similar out of Rga_SetReach_I stuff. The throne room could also be one tile larger without problem. And perhaps it'd look the best with no balcony behind the throne, just a tall wall.

Redguard lanterns are fine. As is nor_upper furniture.

Update, with basement concept. Haven't changed the balcony yet.

i am absolutely loving this interior!

just one minor thing: when i tested this ingame, one of the beams you placed in the southern stairs (see image) was blocking my Nord character from moving further.

For realsies? Thanks for the playtest :) I guess Testia Maxima, an Imperial, isn't the ideal Quality Assurance Specialist.
