A smuggler cave hidden under a rock alcove, just below the Direnni bridge leading to Markarth. Used by smugglers working down the Karth for storage. A "hermit" lives here, in the entrance cave chamber to work as a disguise, while the goods are stored further back in the cave system, behind an underground lake.

I have made some progress on this, there will now be a chamber linking the 2 areas with the boss of the operation, plus a nifty waterfall feature that leads into another underground lake with some purty bits.
If you can give me some ideas for the empty rock chambers that'd be grand as I don't want to make it all a storage.

For the big chamber, I can see two possibilities to mix it up a bit:
1. add some long-forgotten nordic burial chambers at the side.
2. add some parts of a long-forgotten direnni-underground system.
both things are possible with other nord burial sites around markarth and elfstone keep on top of it.

The area next to the waterfall is just brilliant, even as WIP as it is. I admire your caving skills, good Luxray.

Nice stuff. Still loving that lake with the docks and the boat, but the boss room is fantastic, too.
Here's a version patched to use tamriel-data. One side of access to the waterfall cave needs finishing off and there's a (overambitious) underwater passage in the first room that needs finishing or removing. If anyone wants to have a crack at this you're more than welcome to claim it off me, otherwise I'll put a little time into these finishes the next time I become motivated to do it.

This is amazing large dungeon but since this isnt updated for over 4 years could i maybe try to finish it?

Did lot of detailing and i cut down drastically that "overambitious" underwater passage that Luxray mentions and copyed it to another cell since ref count was getting high. Now it leads to small Direnni ruin i built as Worsas suggested. Makes more sense then nordic burial chamber i guess since above cave are Direnni ruins and cave is pretty close to Markath but its well hidden so smugglers inside dont know about it and only players that really explores will find it. It also needs somekind of underwater breathing spell to access.
