Luxray, if you wanted a go at an exterior showcase, perhaps you'd want to work on this? It should be relatively easy and a nice introduction for working with exteriors.

No pressure! (Really) And if anyone else want the claim instead, please say so.

It should have a transition from Druadach Highlands to Falkar Foothills region templates, and a simple road going westwards to HR, with a branch towards Karsknhal. There should also be room for a small bandit camp/Reachman hut or other goodies. It should gradually empty out when going west, as there's no convenient mountain border here. There could be some more Falkar Foothills forest going east, but the forest/plains transition could also happen in claim #2.

Alright, here's an update. Most things are completely messy, but there's some developed areas too. So far I've added three points of interest:

1. Lakvan's Stronghold, a Nordic ruin of Shadowkey fame. Occupied by bandits.
2. Currently unnamed border fort to the Western Reach. Since parts of WR has been annexed by Haafinheim in the War of Bendr Mahk, this is also used as a supply station for troops heading west on foot or horse.
3. Skegmyr Falls, a set of spectacular waterfalls and a tiny settlement. Here you can find an old watermill, as well as a tavern, where you can find a warm bed and stock up on some equipment.

I'm currently focusing on the easternmost cells of the claim (and the neighbouring row), in order to cut some semi-finished terrain off and pass it on to spineinside for consistency.

Final thoughts:
Congrats on your first finished exterior claim!
5 years later, here we are. This claim lived through 6 Tamriel_Data updates, opening during version 4, and passing review during internal version 8.9. This feels like the end of an era. Re_01 was started before I had even considered joining. Some time in mid 2018 I discovered that everybody has access to the claim subforum when an update was posted, and I spent a good half hour exploring the early wip area with the old unnamed Askaregg, hunched turtle mountain shrine and the exterior tunnel barrow. That played a part in my joining of the projects.
Good use of terrain
In the spirit of this claim I decided to take a really long time to review it :)
Was it worth the wait?











Yes. In a dozen years when we have many more releases, and even further down the line when the province is released, this claim will still hold some of the most iconic SHotN locations that people will always be talking about.
