PC_Col_Barr_Chest_?? [R-Zero]

Post by worsas »

A small and a normal-sized chest found in Colovian Barrrows.

The normal-sized chest should consist of old, half-withered wood. pc_ex_gc_dock_01.dds or something similar could be used for it. This chest can be very simple in design. There should be one version with destroyed cover as static object.

The small chest can either consist of wood or stone. It should have a few ornamental elements but otherwise it can look plain.

Since I already worked on other colbarrow stuff, can I claim this one too? I already have a couple ideas for these chests in mind.

Very good. After this we'll be done with assets for Colovian Barrows.

Basic chest shape - inspired in part by the test chests in ToddTest cell and it part by old Roman arks.

Nice chest.

@worsas: if possible, I would like the Colovian tombs to also have one or two variations on the mummy creature (a bit like the different skeleton levels). Not a priority, though.

This is all looking beautiful. The only suggestion I have is creating a more withered variant of this wood texture. Otherwise people might think these are supposed to be used together with the gold coast shacks.

I'm quite a crappy texture artist, to be honest... But how about this one then?

Hmm.. I liked the previous version better.

if you feel fit for it, you could try to create new wood textures using the below photo resources.

http://www.textures.com/download/woodrough0107/36912" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or alternatively http://www.textures.com/download/woodrough0014/4793" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.textures.com/download/woodstudded0050/77605" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for the studs

Or stick with the textures of the previous version? I could try to provide alternatives later on then.

I'd be more than happy to help with the textures too, if you'd like :)

I think I'll try making my own ones, but don't expect anything great - I don't enjoy texturing one bit and feel much better working with an existing texture library.
But yeah, I'd appreciate if there were more textures to choose from :) If mine are not good enough, I'll wait for better ones to be made.

How does this one look?

I have now taken note of this. Sorry for dragging you into something there.

Good work. I like how this looks.

Nah, it's okay, don't worry :) I just meant that when I make textures they're usually quite subpar and it takes time and some solid advices to get them done, so please bear with me. I'll take all the help I can get on this front.

I'm happy this one turned out to be passable though :)
