Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
I've actually went against my words and made a whole set, just because I could. Not the shield though, that would be daft  There are still some issues with textures here and there, but I am afraid I won't be able to fix them. If somebody could help, I would appreciate it, but right now, it is b...

Re: Legion Quests
Sure guys, I agree with many points and that is why I asked opinion on these, so I get more in line with the objective and make ideas more plausible. First up, these are too many complications just for joining a faction. Well, okay, sure. I can see that point. This goes double for the Legion. The Le...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
Technically, they are padded pauldrons in game. Based on Nordic Fur Pauldrons, but without the pauldron itself. I think there can be a few pieces of padded armor, but not whole set. Though I could also probably see padded helm(cap) and padded greaves (trousers), but not gauntlents nor boots. It woul...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
An example of possible texture use: [hsimg=]http://i.imgur.com/c2c1eJz.jpg[/hsimg] I believe it will look quite good in Colovia, but also other parts of Tamriel. Think of it as common armor, not specific to any region (Com_). Needs a bit more work and fixing and I am not sure I am the best person to...

Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings
They can probably have both, one to open another and more Still, doesn't strike me as a Colovian thing, don't know why. They probably could use it, but only if they were up to something. That's my feeling regarding Colovians.

Re: Legion Quests
Would love to see some comments, especially from the older modders on the team :) I am sure you have your own ideas for each faction, but given opportunity I could probably come up with quest lines for almost all factions, I am just so excited (though my knowledge of some deeper lore is quite lackin...

Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings
Now, where would they fit better? Colovia or Nibenay? I gravitate towards Colovia. Personally, I feel more the Nibenay vibe. It just feels very mysterious, very fitting for Nibenay nobility. Colovians strike me as more straight-forward people, kinda like the Nords, just not as much. Great idea by t...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
In vanilla Morrowind there are only two hat-like items - Colovian Fur Helm (which is probably closer to an actual helmet than a hat) and the Gondolier's hat. Could Cyrodiil have more types of these? Oriental-looking straw hats in Nibenean rice fields? Pointy wizard hats for mages? Colovian berets/f...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
You mean, the whole sets? I don't think I'm ready for this yet, my 3d modeling skills are not that good and I don't know a thing about skinning meshes. Maybe later, when I'll get better at it, I'll tackle the more advanced stuff, but for now I want to limit myself to creating more simple items. Sur...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
I imagine the leader of such an organization would wear actual Ayleid equipment, perhaps even an Ayleid Crown. His lieutenants, on the other hand... Yeah, that's true. I still would love to see more of your works, they are awesome. I am absolutely convinced that we should have creatures from your C...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
A ritual mask, maybe? Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Something for the leaders of the movement. I like this design a lot and the knightly feeling it has, it's very unique, but the leader could be more spiritual and ritualistic with his mask, possibly different bird? More extravagant (I guess exq...

Legion Quests
I was thinking about Legion quests and I came up with a few, so far. I have ideas for three quests, which you need to complete in order to get admitted into the Legion. In Morrowind, you get admitted in the legion very easily, because they are undermanned, but in Cyrodiil, I believe process of admis...

Re: Discussion on Imperial Legion
That's all true and I agree your approach here is better. I did not get the idea at first, but looking at it from perspective, it is brilliant in many ways. Yes, that is definitely the way to go. I still feel that later quests should send you all around the province from time to time, but I agree on...

Re: [Faction] The Nobility Factions
I might be wrong, but don't the Arch-Mage of the Mages Guild and Leader of the Fighters Guild also have a seat on the council? I've read it long time ago somewhere and I am not sure about it, but I thought so.

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
Yes, yes, that's actually an awesome helmet! We should definitely use it! Thank you, R-Zero! What actually could be even more awesome is if you could possibly make another one, more elaborate version with some more decorations and a longer beak? It's just a suggestion, but it would not only look coo...

Quest Design Proposal
I have quite a few ideas for various quests, though most of them are faction based, so they will have to wait. But some can probably be implemented outside of factions. I did like many ideas for quests, which Infragris wrote down, he has very good sense of gameplay mechanics and story-telling. But b...

Re: Gold Coast Interior Claim PC_i2-35 [vrolok]
Okay, here we go. The manor is ready, at least I hope so. It's twice bigger, so I expect at least some bugs, but overall I am satisfied with the results. A three-storey noble's mansion has: 1) Reception room/meeting room on the first floor 2) Cellar with various wines stored in there 3) There is a l...

You don't have to be very vague about who was it, if I offended someone, then I am very sorry. I've had no intention to do so. And as I said, I exhausted all the arguments I've had for this one. I might've been very passionate sometimes, but I hope I did not offend anyone too much. It's just such a ...

Re: Culture and Society of the Nibenay
It's kinda sad that we can't use swastikas, they are awesome in my opinion. And they were used by so many cultures on Earth: Slavs, Greeks, Romans, Indians, Chinese and many others. But, I've never seen them in Tamriel though, so I guess it's fine.

Yes, I thought so But if fits this three faction puzzle very well! It would be reminiscent of Morrowind's Great Houses, but there so many possibilities to flash these out, it's amazing!

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
I thought the studs were, in principle, like icebergs in that they hold a larger metalplace which is found below the cloth or leather they are added to. Well, in real-life there are designs like that, but it is a different kind of armor, essentially metal plates, held together by leather. Totally p...

I am pretty sure most here are aware of the Witcher games. I believe the games are of the excellent quality and are often quite creative. Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings
Thing is, the rings are so tiny in game, it is really hard to see them. And you can't even zoom in on them properly. That's why I believe rings should be pretty big and their shape should make them stand out. I am afraid a moth like that would be barely noticeable, though the ring is nice.

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
"This makes sense in the real-world, so it must make sense in Tamriel" I am reasoning for one particular set of armor, which would make sense in Tamriel and I think I have properly explained why. They have the technology, they have the means, it is good protection. That's all that is requ...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
While padded armor may make sense in our world, things develop differently in Tamriel, and we have to consider this from a stylistic perspective. I don't know about everyone else, but I personally imagine padded armors to be more of a High Rock style. Such basic designs seem more at home there than...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil
We are striving for surreal designs. Also, to a degree we are going a fine line between a realistic and a stylised environment, where some things don't have to make an apparent sense, but could still be explained with some effort. We already have quite crappy designs from Bethesda (I am looking at ...

Would be great to slightly reorganize faction topics in a more structured manner, this one especially, so we can see if anything is missing and work on the miss...
