I assume he would be mostly civilized as far as having furniture, and literacy? Maybe wormmouth rugs, and some reachmen flare, but still rather ordinary.
Edit: I'll just use the example cell as reference as to what type of furniture to use.

What is the purpose of DeletmeErond? He is not deleted and apears right next to Erond in the mine.

Frankly I'd have to disagree that the 'proper' way is better. Of course, makeshifting should be avoided wherever possible, but in this case your edit places the trap door almost horizontal (45 degrees). Update: Not finished yet, but it's coming along. I still need to add some more rocks in the tunnels and caverns, and start adding furniture and clutter, as well as set up the light sources. Unfortunately since Stirk is an .esp, I couldn't make an .esp that depended on it, so this has to be used instead of PC_Stirk.esp, and NOT with it.

The windows and door are in their final positions, so they can be put on the exterior shell now. I won’t be able to set the northmarker correctly until the door is placed on the exterior

Update: Fixed top part of tower not grid-snapped correctly. I fixed it a while ago, but wasn't sure if it warranted an update since it would've probably been found in a review. I thought I'd save the reviewer some time though and upload the fix.

Here's an update. It's almost finished, but not quite there yet. I still need to touch up some things, and place things precisely. Also, I need to finish writing some notes and letters for the place.

I don't think the forests have that big of an impact. I checked the fps in and around Markarth on my non-gaming laptop(i5, intel integrated graphics card).
