Re: Jiub's Projects

I'm thinking about replacing the previous pauldrons with two golden belts respectively so this armor part does not consist of a mere chain sleeve. And I want to replace the belt with your above proposal and make the whole armor proportions more pronounced, so it's less tuby. Alright, sounds good. D...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Thanks R-Zero, that looks perfect :) worsas, I definitely appreciate your input, it is too late for me to be willing to scrap the design altogether, not least of all because that specific style of armor serves a thematic role with the three styles of guards (more Persian inspired for the Gold Coast)...

Re: Jiub's Projects

So, still working on finalizing a couple of the assets but I wanted to run something by you guys, how do you feel about dropping the greaves for the town guards, and doing it like the Indoril guards? [hsimg=]http://i.imgur.com/Krr437G.png[/hsimg] My thinking is, these guys aren't an organized milita...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Thanks for looking at it for me, I don't think your fixed mesh is actually rigged to the skeleton though. When I tested it in the CS the armor pieces are all showing up at the NPC's feet. This is the part that I'm no good at, unfortunately lol. The oval shield is cool, would you be willing to model ...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Thanks guys :) Okay, so working on getting these in-game and the klibanion cuirass isn't actually quite ready to go - would somebody have time to make some model edits for me? I need the sleeves separated from each other so I can make left and right pauldrons, and right now they're occupying the che...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Getting fairly close to done with the revised guard armors too, I decided to just go with a single cuirass variant for each of the major regions (Gold Coast and upper and lower Highlands), individual plume colors for each of the counties and baronies, and a plumeless variant for random patrols, smal...

Very excited to see what you do with this :) I'll repost this here too, courtesy of Revenant (note that there's some disagreement here with regards to the the helmet, so you'll have some creative license there): [hsimg=]http://66.media.tumblr.com/0541f0b501d870aa7f16c0bdfaad1299/tumblr_nxxi9y1rni1t3...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Thanks :) I was considering the baronies to be any of the cities with at least a two-cell footprint on your map, so Stirk, Sutch, Sarchal, and Artemon. I think IRL the rank of knight falls below baron, so would a good designation for the minor lords be the Knights of the Imperial Dragon (the top of ...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Kvatch flag, quartered with the traditional arms of the Duchy of Colovia:

[hsimg=]http://i.imgur.com/nHE1nzD.png[/hsimg]

It needs tweaking, some of the elements aren't centered the way I want them to be, but this is the general idea anyhow.

Re: Asset Roadmap: Armor Styles

I would personally prefer to veto the Weald style studded leather, it's going to be too similar visually to the klibanion armor (Skingrad guard). Is there a reason that you're cutting most of the new concepts I had drawn up, though? The Skingrad steel concept is, I think, too flashy for Sancre Tor s...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Hm, I see your point. I'll play around with it a little more. I'm trying to keep an animal thing going for the baronies, so probably a lion for Sutch - the sword and grapevine would be a good symbol for the duke of Colovia though (are we still going with Kvatch as a ducal seat?) Re: Door chimes, wrong door orientation

I love the idea of bells/chimes on the stores, personally :)

Regarding flipping the door models, my only concern is how much work would be involved with revamping the already completed interiors - we should definitely fix it for Anvil and beyond though.

Re: Jiub's Projects

Way back when I first joined the team, SamirA had drawn some city crest concepts that were closer to Oblivion's in style, Stirk's was a bird flying over a seascape and Sutch's was a stylized bull's head (with like some Celtic knots and stuff). Even after Revenant came up with the current version of ...

Oh, I actually like the skull to be honest lol. It reminds me of vanilla Morrowind and how the Redorans had that one helmet that was made out of a bug carapace.

Re: Cyrodiil Creatures

I feel like direwolves would be more appropriate for Skyrim honestly, they're rocking that prehistoric vibe with the mammoths and sabrecats. Predatory river salamanders are interesting, but they kinda fill the same niche as the otters we've been discussing, and with newts and bullfrogs, I think we m...

Hahaha okay I concede the point on leopard milk. Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about mixing and matching it, but proposing that "coutal" would refer to a large predatory jungle cat, which has also been domesticated (I've messaged Revenant on his art blog to see if he still has those old concepts - he had drawn a domesticated/pet version as wel...

Re: Cyrodiil Creatures

If the goblins were imported by Altmer, it would make sense for Durzog to be found in the Summerset Isles, not Cyrodiil. We've already replaced all goblin weapons and furniture statics for being too Morrowind-styled, so I don't see why the Durzog would be an exception just because it would be conve...

OK, here's round two. Haven't quite covered the whole map, but made a decent chunk in it I think. I really think we should keep the durzogs in - there's no lore stating that they're actually native to Morrowind IIRC, and since the goblins in Tribunal were imported along with their Altmer handlers, i...
