Re: Dragonstar: Crown Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds36) [Tristior]

While I'm here: this is finished, unless there are other suggestions. "Nudri" I got from what Yeti posted above, but I'm sure that could well have changed.

Re: Dragonstar: Apartment house (Sky_iRe_Ds26) [Tristior]

Okay! The fire is out, and the downstairs tapestry has been reconstituted. I also added a window to Sky_iRe_Ds26b, because it was severely lacking in natural light - you can see what you think.

Re: Dragonstar: Warehouse (Sky_iRe_Ds23) [Tristior]

Alright, here's the finished warehouse! Chest has been changed, and I've kept it at three above-ground levels just so that the windows made some kind of sense.

Re: Dragonstar: Apartment house (Sky_iRe_Ds26) [Tristior]

Cheers! The torn tapestries were due to the (chest posing as a) wall safe behind the upstairs hanging. The idea being that they were torn whilst searching for it, but I'm not married to that. You're right about the fire, too.

Re: Dragonstar: Warehouse (Sky_iRe_Ds23) [Tristior]

Since it's been a while, here's the warehouse so far. Looking at it from the outside, I decided to give it three above-ground levels, but that does put it at odds with the similarly-proportioned Order of the Dragon Tooth whatsit which only has two (might go back and add a level to that). Anyway, I'd...

Re: Dragonstar: Apartment house (Sky_iRe_Ds26) [Tristior]

Here 'tis. Given that there is only one not-incredibly-Nordic bed in the Nordic M set, and it is a very clashing blue colour, I used a different kind of bed for the clothier. Welcome feedback on that, and the clutter in both places. I feel like it's a bit light on, but wasn't sure what these places ...

Re: Dragonstar: Crown Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds36)

As promised, here is one palace for the Nudri utei of Dragonstar. I kept it at two cells, but changed the lighting to match T_Example_Rga_SetReach and boy did it make a difference. I don't know where I got my lighting numbers from (Caldera?) but they are much too bright. For the exterior: I think it...

Re: Dragonstar: Crown Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds36)

Here 'tis so far. I think that's the basic shell, and I'm on to filling it in now. I've split it into two cells (Throne Room and Private Quarters) but I'm wondering whether it should in fact be three cells (+ Servants Quarters, or something). I've used Nor_FurnR as I'd done what decorating there is ...

Re: Dragonstar: Crown Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds36)

I thoroughly agree*, but I suppose it's a matter of making use of limited resources. When it comes to, say, adding new tapestry textures - what's the process? Is it a simple matter or a "fundamentally changing it in Blender" matter? Related: I've a slight background (yonks ago) in 3D modelling but r...

Re: Dragonstar: Crown Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds36)

A fair question. Do you have a recommendation for any substitutes? When I get home I'll post what I've made so far (it's been absolutely doing my head in) and you can see what you think. Happy to take any other direction, as well.

Re: Dragonstar: Crown Palace (Sky_iRe_Ds36)

Sure! Facing the main doors: - Throne room in the front-left building. Two stories high, with a mezzanine. Kinda like a wooden take on Topkapi Palace. - Corridors, meeting rooms, barracks in the back building. - Living quarters and servants quarters in the building on the right. Do we have any infor...

Re: Dragonstar: Order of the Dragon Tooth (Sky_iRe_Ds24)

Alright, first pass. Lack of Redguard clutter is a difficulty, especially with the shrine. I improvised it, and assumed the Order did too from stuff left lying around the house (it's to Onsi - hence the daggers).

Re: Dragonstar: Order of the Dragon Tooth (Sky_iRe_Ds24)

I'd like to claim this. I did a test shell and then got completely absorbed, but hey - it's all practice. No hard feelings if you'd rather give it to someone else. For what I have made, I tried to build the manor first and then show how the Order had occupied it subsequently. I thought about trying ...

Re: Dragonstar: House (Sky_iRe_Ds31)

Kinda went for an apartment-style, based on a thread about P:C interiors, without seeing that apartment housing was its own thing. Let me know if this is no good (but I kinda like it).

Re: Dragonstar: House (Sky_iRe_Ds31)

Hiya! I would like to claim this, but I've already had a preliminary go at doing the ground level (I wanted to make sure I was up to it first). Boy howdy was it difficult. The doors all line up with those on the outside, but the proportions of house04 make doing that extremely inelegant. My suggesti...

Re: Tristior interior showcase

The (extravagant) head-canon I had in mind for the place was an alcoholic Imperial archaeologist, who begrudgingly had to work with local lowlifes to acquire Dwemer artifacts. The inferior crockery and furniture around the dining table is a demonstration of his contempt for them, and maybe that bit ...

Re: Tristior interior showcase

I must have. Is there a way I can realign it? Also, damnit, I did move the shell just before I re-uploaded to see whether it would snap back into the grid - if the cellar doesn't have a shallow pool of water then it must have jumped up on the Z-axis without my realising. That's on me for not checkin...

Re: Tristior interior showcase

Okay, here's the revision. No "de_" objects, and the bedside book has been moved. I've also added several objects to both spruce up the place and showcase rotation. The book/candle discrepancy is, I suspect, from mods (my book is smaller and purple) and so I have just done a clean reinstall. The gri...

Thank you for such a quick reply! And I appreciate you sharing the tutorial - things would have been much simpler if I'd found that earlier. I'm making a number of those changes, but before I post my revision I wanted to ask a couple of things - Firstly, the house is very much my work from scratch, ...
