Syffa Temet Kai

Part of the old Akaviri code of conduct for members of the Fighters Guild. Part warrior philosophy, part guild charter, this text was written by Dinieras-Ves, the founder of the Fighters Guild, as a guide for members. Today, all but a few traditionalist guidhalls in the Nibenay have abandoned the co...

THE FIGHTERS GUILD [/u][/b] INTRODUCTION Syffa Temet Kai The peerless soldier walks by righteous will, he observes the dealings of the people, as a warrior observes the stance of his enemy. Consider justice, duty, and integrity, and commit fully to your decisions. The peerless soldier fears nothing...

I won't be able to start on it directly, no. Send it through if you want to, otherwise maybe keep working on it if there are any details left to do.

Sure. Just keep in mind the place is already a big fps hog, so be conservative in your details (gnisis-style stalls should be perfect, I think)

Re: The Religion of the Nords

Ysmir would fall into the broad category of the "Nordic hero-cults", which are said to give a counter-current to the dominant secularism of the Empire (Talos Cult is also an example, though). These charismatic god-heroes are a concept attributed to Nordic culture specifically. Ysmir is also consider...

Re: Jiub's Projects

Looking great. The iconography for the baronies sounds on point. I think Dethagrad might also count as a barony, perhaps with a sun as its symbol. Looking at this lineup, I feel like the Anvil sigil feels a little out of place, actually. The current dynasty had nothing to do with the defeat of the s...

Re: Gold Coast Exterior: GC_02 [berry]

I opened this up real quick to check on some ext location, and I noticed a small issue: near the barrow entrance of this claim, you used the barrow corner pieces (the weird pyramid tower things) as freestanding pillars. This is not the intended use of these pieces: they are only meant to simulate br...

A General Note on the Data Update

Tamriel Data was updated last month (if you haven't upgraded yet, please do so now ) and included several edits to data structure which are important if you are making an interior or exterior right now: Most Flora and Terrain assets for the Gilded Hills region are now included. Exterior modders work...

Re: The Religion of the Nords

Talos as a Shor aspect is definitely a valid interpretation. It's even fairly popular among Imperials, who see Talos as the inheritor or replacement of old Shezarr in the pantheon (possibly tied to the way in which Tiber "replaced" Cuhlecian/Emperor Zero). Tibetan influences are perhaps more fanon t...

Re: The Religion of the Nords

This is all very promising material. A couple of thoughts: About Talos being "an aspect of Shor (possibly a Colovian attempt to begrudgingly acknowledge their heritage)" doesn't quite fit, because the Colovian nobility still worships Shor - or at least, a Colovian version of him. Colovians tend to b...

Re: Screenshots with no Bethesda resources

I think you could set up a colovian barrow with all-new assets: it's a new style that's not inspired by any vanilla or oblivion tilesets, and there's a bunch of clutter, containers etc. built from scratch for it. The only problem would be creatures (who are draugr ripoffs) and lights (even our newly...

Bugfixing for Stirk had to wait for the latest data update, so I haven't yet had a chance to check this out. Might still take a couple of weeks before I can get to this. I'll make a note here if any new problems show up.

Re: Dungeon Tileset: Colovian Barrows

I'm aware that the horizontality of the set was done on purpose, but I am afraid that this is going to limit the applicability of the set in the long run, especially in cases where the exterior landscape is not as accommodating. I'm not proposing a vast array of new pieces that fundamentally change ...

Dungeon Tileset: Reman Forts (Imperial Ruins)

This is the least fully developed tileset we have right now, and it suffers from multiple critical issues which prevent it from being used optimally. The odd size of the set makes it awkward and difficult to use. The exterior set is generally quite alright, albeit a little counter-intuitive in usage...

Dungeon Tileset: Imperial Crypts

The crypt tileset is a smaller than usual set with only a limited application - for now. In my opinion, crypts could be used more freely across the country, or near prominent settlements and other locations. There are, however, a number of problems with the set that need to be solved first: The set ...

Dungeon Tileset: Imperial Fort Ruins

Imperial fort ruins are kind of a special case, since they are a variant of an existing settlement tileset used as a dungeon/ruin. For the most part, normal interior clutter and assets can be used. There are, however, some aspects in which this set could be improved.: The number and variations of ru...

Dungeon Tileset: Ayleid Ruins

A lot has been said about the Ayleid ruins that does not need to be repeated here. As it stands, the set is more or less usable, although some additions are sorely needed: A large trove of interior and exterior pieces has been donated by the Beyond: Skyrim project, which fit our native set more or l...

Dungeon Tileset: Colovian Barrows

The Colovian barrow set is arguably our most developed and feature-complete dungeon tileset. It has clutter, at least one unique associated creature type, and its own furniture containers. The set itself is interesting and quite different from most Morrowind interior tilesets, although it requires s...

Re: Gold Coast Exterior: GC_00 [Infragris]

Okay, here's the latest version of this file. Besides a lot of bugfixing and the replacement of deprecated flora, the most important aspects of this are the addition of the highway starting from Brina Cross, some extra farmland south of that town, and edits to the Fort Strand mining pit. I consider ...

Re: Dragonstar: Yoku Crypt (Sky_iRe_Ds37)

Hmmm. Some of the design notes for the underground of Sutch called for the use of unique pillar and wall meshes, combined with a cave tileset. If you can hold out for those, it would likely be the best choice for this interior.

Re: Common Plants and Ingredients

That looks interesting. I don't think we have to adhere to the real-life look of a fig tree, as long as the reimagined specimen fits the climate and aesthetic. Not sure about replacing Chorrol's oak tree with it, though: the fact that it's an oak tree is kinda iconic. It may have been planted by ear...

Re: Imperial Tilesets

Came across this recently, I think a southern Italian style like in Matera might be an interesting compromise between the overt medievalist and the more outlandish inspiration sources.
