Re: Jiub's Projects

Yeah, something like that would definitely fit Sutch. It has this Redguard/Middle East feeling to it, so I don't think there is any better place for it than Sutch.

Re: PC_Act_Stone_??[Saint_Jiub]

I actually like the glow being strong. It can be reduced a bit, but not too much. Strong glow gives these stones a very fresh and unique feeling, compared to Oblivion. I mean, it's magical glow, so it doesn't have to be affected by the time. Just looks more magnificent and mysterious that way IMO

Re: PC_Act_Stone_??[Saint_Jiub]

These things I absolutely love. I personally never liked them in TES IV, they were extremely bland in appearance and function. That's me telling you, which is strange, cause usually I am not against something slightly generic, but they were really 'meh. Now, these on the other hand, the ones made by...

Re: Inspirational pictures

Dunmer have stained glass technology too, that's why I mentioned it. They could discover it separately of course, but that wouldn't be that interesting. I think it's okay, but I just don't know if Cyrodiil should mention Morrowind often. I would rather avoid connections to Morrowind where it's not ...

Re: Inspirational pictures

Very cool lanterns, I can totally see them in Cyrodiil. As for colored glass, it doesn't have to be a Dunmer thing. I am pretty sure it's not connected to volcanic Glass material, but instead a technology similar to stained glass, Imperials should know of it. Some ideas for Ayleid fashion: http://i....

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

I think we should put county's name + armor name together. That would imply that its origin is the county, but also would explain why the guards are using it. For instance, Chorrol Chainmail armor will primarily be used by guards, but it will also be sold in shops as well as used by people around th...

Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings

Anything can be racist nowadays if you put a right spin on it. Anyway, despite being the token black race of the setting they're much closer to Ottomans and Moors than African Americans. Yeah, I know about their culture, still not sure about the ring though. I guess it's fine, but you can also chec...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

I really am not suggesting anything, I am pretty sure that you and some older members can decide on the design better than I can. I just think that if we later discover that it doesn't work in game, we could potentially switch it. I am not implying that it wouldn't or that we would need to do it, bu...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

Let's see what it will be like in the game and then decide. I might be worried that it's potentially overusing the legion design a bit too much for my liking (in regard to the guards, not the world), but I can't be sure about it until I see it in game. If you feel that it would be the right choice, ...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

I kinda agree on most of these points, though we are leaving unused another great design. I am not opposed to the idea, technically, I am just not sure about it. I don't think it's a bad idea, I am just not sure if it's the best one :P Maybe we can use the chainmail masks in more northern regions, l...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

Personally, I am kinda torn on the idea of using these helmets for other guards. On one hand, it does unify the region a bit more, which is a good thing, but I believe that a little bit of diversity within Colovia wouldn't hurt I think. Well, you could see my opinion on West Colovia and East Colovia...

Re: Inspirational pictures

Nice minotaurs! We can totally utilize the tattoo versions of them as shamans or great warrior figures, that could be interesting. I also thought about utilizing signet rings as a Colovian trademark. Since I have a few of them, I decided to post them here. Colovian Rings Colovian Common Rings: http:...

Re: Gold Coast Interior Claim PC_i2-19 [vrolok]

It ended up relatively small in scale. Not tiny, but not really big, I hope it's fine. I am satisfied with the result, it's my first real cave for Morrowind. Personally prefer human-made structures, but I think this is also doable, just takes more time. The cave has an improvised prison, which can b...

Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings

Yay! Studs for everyone :D We really need to make some lore explanation why studs are so popular in Colovia, but I do like the ring idea.

Also, is it racist to think that double-finger rings are more Redguard theme, rather than Imperial? Still could be very cool

Re: Inspirational pictures

I know that we already have a lot of Colovian clothes, but I decided to look for some more inspiration and spent a lot of time finding these pictures :D Now, granted, we don't have to do any of that, since we already have quite a bit of stuff, but maybe it can inspire some new variants. I've separat...

Great stuff! I was expecting something like that, but I love the details you've put into planning these out. It should be fun both to play and to create this (while also a bit of a pain  ). Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

It could definitely fit in: as others have said, this kind of armor would be a good fit for urban Imperial settings. I'm wondering it it could be "Imperialized" further by perhaps editing the texture colors: making the undercloth a little brighter, maybe, or coloring half of the vertical lines red,...

Yeah, good ideas, I personally agree on most of it, if not all. Though first we need to probably decide on the main faction quest idea, so we can structure our other ideas around the main plot.

Re: Major Themes of Cyrodiil

What I feel is very important to achieve in Cyrodiil, and it is something that was achieved in Oblivion to an extent, is the feeling of being a citizen of the Empire, not a lonely stranger. Morrowind has that sorta feeling, once you are no longer an outsider and you are integrated into system, being...

Re: Legion Quests

I suppose they technically should be trying to have something like that, because they do keep the census and try to monitor everything. There are also other magical technologies, which they can sometimes try to utilize. Plus, record checks were possible before Internet, just take more time. But as y...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

Wow! The texture is really awesome on this cuirass! I can truly appreciate the work now :D Looks really good. On the note of padded armor, I myself agree that full set is not necessary. Pauldrons are sorta needed, just to make the look complete, but gauntlets, boots do look dorky. And I am glad that...

Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

I myself was thinking about having it a common armor around Tamriel, potentially coming from High Rock, but getting popular around other provinces as well. I admit, it is not Cyrodiilic enough in itself, though with a different texture, it might become much more Colovian. Maybe have few regional ver...

Already looks so much better, my god! :o I will try doing it myself, though I am not sure I will be able to handle it properly. Re: Armors of Cyrodiil

Yes, I know, there are great opportunities to make some truly interesting designs. Sadly, they are limited ...

Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings

I think that only way to steal such a key should be by killing its owner, just to show why they are used. And we should have dialogues written about it to explain it even further. I mean, a master pickpocketer from Skyrim with all the perks might be able to pull it off, but I think it's not necessar...

Re: Amulets, Belts and Rings

Wow, these are great! Really are! The key rings don't look common to me, more like ancient, so they could open up some really old things. I think that could be great theme for Nibenay IMO I only think to slightly adjust gold texture on the rings, right now they remind me of Dwemer metal, but...
