Re: The High King
Yes, I, uh, tooootally realized this topic was over 2 years old. Heh... And yes, the office definitely predates the Empire. But the Empire co-ops it for its own purposes and it has a different role. I suspect the High King of Hammerfell, Valenwood, and Summerset were likewise co-oped by the imperial...

Re: The High King
If I can add to the discussion, I'd like to say that there is no drama in a powerless High King. Nor is there any drama in one with absolute power. Conveniently, either extreme is also impossible given what we know about the province. A High King is, primarily, an instrument of the Empire's will. Th...

Re: Ald Ma' Cyrod's Cyrod
snip These models are strikingly good, Ald-Ma' Cyrod. As far as weapons go, I would expect clubs and spears, tbh. With javelins and stones for range. Maces were designed for heavily armored combat. If Minotaurs are largely unarmored, swords would actually make more sense because they'd be more dead...

Re: Cartography
Yes, that's perfect.
I think the map is improving with each iteration. As much as I love Oblivion as the game that got me into TES, it sure has a wonky geography. I'll be commenting about it in my next post. Have some comments about names as well, but I'm not quite ready with what I want to say.

Just the map contours should be fine.Infragris wrote:Sure. How "blank" do you need it exactly: just the map contours, or also regions, heightmap, borders, ...?

Re: Cartography
Infragris, could you upload a blank version of the Cyrodiil map you're using? Geography is really an interest of mine, and I thought I could illustrate a few points you guys might find useful in this exercise.

Re: Leyawiin Concepts
I don't believe for a second that Khajiit could mistake a Bosmer for an Ohmes. Its difficult for outsiders to tell the difference because they're ignorant outsiders.

Re: Jiub's Projects
I saw examples of Jiub's work on the Province Cyrodiil Tumblr feed and I wanted to complement him on his work. In particular I feel the Dibella, Talos, and Julianos stained windows are just superb. Not to mention the excellent Dibella statue, which I'd agree is better than Oblivion's. I was curious ...
